Marienne Caro is the Head of Marketing for Qualcomm Ventures where she leads all marketing efforts including branding, communications, content, events, social, and PR. She works to raise the profile of the firm, partners and our portfolio companies by helping them amplify their most important initiatives. Marienne also provides strategic counsel to startups and lends support around major milestones including new funding, product launches and IPOs.
She joined Qualcomm 10 years ago and has held roles in marketing, communications and business development. Marienne started her time at Qualcomm as the lead for marketing and business development efforts for Qualcomm Enterprise Services Latin America where she helped launch a suite of successful technology products for fleets in Mexico and Columbia. She then became Head of Marketing for Qualcomm Research where she was instrumental in raising the groups’ external brand, as well as increasing awareness for the division's key research projects including 5G, Machine Learning, Autonomous Vehicles, Wireless, Robotics and others. In addition, Marienne was responsible for leading all marketing and branding efforts for the Qualcomm Robotics Accelerator, Powered by Techstars, launched in May of 2015.
Prior to joining Qualcomm she held leadership roles in marketing and business development for Fortune 500 companies. Marienne has an MBA from UC Irvine and a B.A. from San Diego State University in International Business and Communications.
Outside the Office
Marienne is half Cuban and half Mexican, and fluent in Spanish. She enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling and is an FC Barcelona Fan. She loves spending time with her family, including her two kids.
