Xiaomi was founded in 2010 by serial entrepreneur Lei Jun, who believes that high-quality technology doesn't need to cost a fortune. The company creates hardware, software, and Internet services for the mobile market. Xiaomi's product suite currently includes Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi Pad, Mi Box, Mi TV, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note, Mi Power Bank and other accessories. To date, the company has sold more than 18 million handsets in China in 2013 alone and launched products in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India and Indonesia.
Xiaomi went IPO on the Hong Kong stock exchange in July 2018 under the symbol 1810:HK.
